Kings XI on cloud 9 with their fifth successive win

Shreesanth gave a pefect start for The Kings XI!

Yuvraj Singh's Kings XI Punjab jumped into second place on the latest Indian Premier League (IPL) table after a thumping six-wicket win against the Royal Challengers in Bangalore.

It was his team's fifth win in a row and they look like potential champions with the way they have been mowing down their opposition in the past week and half.

Opener Shaun Marsh (34b, 4x4, 1x6) was the top scorer for the Punjab team scoring. Sarwan’s cameo (31, 30b, 5x4, 1x6) that fizzled out in Praveen Kumar’s wicket-maiden, ensured that the visitor was ahead of the required run-rate

Earlier, the home side was bundled out for a disappointing 126, four balls short of 20 overs. The rot was started by Man Of The Match Shantakumaran Shreeshanth as he blasted out Wasim Jaffer (0) and Cameron White with successive balls.

Skipper Rahul Dravid, with 66 (51b, 9x4, 1x6), played the lone hand for Royal Challengers. Virat Kohli with 34 of 36 was the other hosts' batsman to score double figures on a day where five of their batsmen failed to open their accounts.
