Another win for the Daredevils!

Glenn McGrath’s dare devil performance helped win over the Royal Challengers.

A superb four-wicket haul by former Australian pace spearhead Glen McGrath coupled with a brilliant half-century from Gautam Gambhir, the Delhi Daredevils defeated bottom-placed Bangalore Royal Challengers by 10 runs in an Indian Premier League match.

Dhawan’s blazing effort matched Gambhir in terms of quality. He hit the ball harder and longer, his 50 coming off 32 balls, four less than Gambhir.

It took a grand effort from Dravid to end Dhawan’s innings (four fours and three sixes) when the Challengers’ skipper took a low catch at midwicket.

It wasn't a comfortable win, as the Bangalore Royal Challengers kept them to 191 for 5 when 205 seemed an easy total and later when Jacques Kallis and Rahul Dravid threatened to chase it down, but another choke from the visiting side - who for the third game running left Misbah-ul-Haq on the bench - put Delhi at second in the points table.

Chasing 192 was always going to be tough for the visitors and they failed to get a good partnership going. Jacques Kallis was the top scorer with 54 while skipper Rahul Dravid made 38.

The Daredevils moved to the second spot in the IPL standings after their third victory from four matches while the Royal Challengers' misery continued as they were left languishing at the bottom of the standings of the eight-team league after four losses from five matches.
